Welcome to my blog. It’s fabulous to have you here! I’m Molly. I live in Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire with my husband and daughter.
One of my favourite things in life is eating out and discovering new places to go. I’m really passionate about lovely, local, indie businesses. It’s never been more important to support our local economy.
I hope that my reviews shine a light on some of the absolute hidden gems we have here in Derbyshire. I’m always honest but I’m not here to be critical or mean spirited. If businesses feature here it’s because I truly rate them. If I’ve not enjoyed somewhere, they don’t get a mention. People trust my opinion and I recognise what a huge responsibility that is. I would hate to recommend anywhere that then disappoints.
I do accept sponsored work and some PR invites but I’ll always be really upfront and label any paid posts, or anything I’ve received as a gift as an advert. [AD]

A bit more about me
In 2022 I left a twenty-year teaching career to work full time on this website and to support other small businesses through my consultancy, coaching and bespoke ‘done for you’ social media marketing and PR freelance services.
I wanted to be at home more and to work hours that suited me and my family.
I fell into this – but I’ve gradually built a local, engaged following on social media. I’m genuinely passionate about Derbyshire and supporting small businesses.
I’ve previously written a monthly feature for Derbyshire Life magazine, been a regular contributor to S41 magazine and have written for the Derbyshire Times.
I make regular appearances on various local radio stations, including BBC Radio Derby, sharing my love of blogging, Derbyshire and recommendations of the best places to go.
I have two decades experience of coaching and staff development and am delighted to be running a series of workshops for Visit Peak District on How to do Your Own PR.
