For both Derbyshire residents and visitors alike, Chatsworth House at Christmas time is the pinnacle of our festive calendars. Chatsworth have just announced their plans for the 2023 season. 2023 Theme for Christmas at Chatsworth – The Palace of Advent
The 2023 theme for the decorations at Chatsworth is ‘The Palace of Advent’. See Chatsworth House transformed into a giant advent calendar! Inside, revel in the excitement of counting down to Christmas with 24 rooms brimming with Christmas wonder. Step through candy cane archways, into an epic winter wonderland! Christmas at Chatsworth: The Palace of Advent runs from 4th November 2023 – 7th January 2024 and includes access to the decorated house, illuminated garden trail, farmyard, and parking. Pre-booking is essential.


Christmas in the Garden at Chatsworth
The Christmas experience continues outside with an illuminated walk around the garden. Delight in an interactive light and sound trail leading to a spectacular animated light show that transforms the house into a giant advent calendar. Wrap up warm and enjoy festive food and drink as you explore.

Christmas in the Farmyard
The festivities continue in the farmyard which will also be decorated for Christmas. Enjoy Christmas crafts in the barn, plus story time sessions with Father Christmas (separate ticket required). Plus all the usual farmyard fun of the woodland playground and meeting the friendly farm animals, milking demonstrations and guinea pig cuddling sessions. Chatsworth Christmas Market
Visitors can also soak up the festive atmosphere at the Chatsworth Christmas Market from 4th November to 26th November 2023. Read my previous review of Chatsworth Christmas Market.

How to get Tickets to Christmas at Chatsworth
2023 Christmas tickets have been released today. Tickets for Christmas at Chatsworth are priced at £34 for adults, £19 for children, and £84 for a family (two adults and up to three children), children aged 2 and under are free of charge. Tickets include access to the house, garden and farmyard, as well as car parking and access to the Christmas market between 4th and 26th November. Advanced booking via the Chatsworth website is required.
For anyone wishing to only visit the Christmas market, a Christmas market car park ticket must be booked in advance via the website.
