Welcome to my blog. It’s fabulous to have you here! I’m Molly. I live in Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire with my husband and daughter. One of my favourite things in life is eating out and discovering new places to go. I’m really passionate about lovely, local, indie businesses and feel it’s never been more important to support our local economy.
I hope that my reviews shine a light on some of the absolute hidden gems we have here in Derbyshire. I’m always honest but I’m not here to be critical or mean spirited. If businesses feature here it’s because I truly rate them. If I’ve not enjoyed somewhere, they don’t get a mention. People trust my opinion and I recognise what a huge responsibility that is. I would hate to recommend anywhere that then disappoints.
I do accept sponsored work and some PR invites but I’ll always be really upfront and label any paid posts, or anything I’ve received as a gift as an advert. [AD]

A bit more about me
My day job is teaching sociology in a Derbyshire secondary school. I went part time after having my daughter over three years ago and revelled in motherhood. That coincided with starting blogging and discovering how much I love writing.
I write a monthly feature for Derbyshire Life magazine and have a monthly column in the Derbyshire Times. I’ve also been a regular contributor to S41 magazine.
I make a weekly appearance on Peak Derbyshire Radio sharing my weekly recommendations of the best places to go (and usually eat or drink!). I’ve made several appearances on BBC Radio Derby talking about my love of Derbyshire.
I’m regularly approached by brands for help and advice with their social media but up until now just haven’t had the time. My little girl has now started school and I’m finally launching my own business.
As well as writing, I want to share what I’ve learnt about social media with small businesses. I have two decades experience of coaching and staff development. I’ll take the time to get to know you and your business and am firmly focused on outcomes, without bombarding you with jargon. I offer friendly, bespoke services.
