Peak District Artisans Summer Showcase at the Octagon

On the weekend of 18th – 19th July, an exciting, free-to-visit exhibition hosted by Peak District Artisans, featuring some of the most impressive contemporary artwork from the local area will be on display in the magnificent surrounds of the Octagon Hall in Buxton Pavilion Gardens.

Part of the Buxton Festival Fringe, this unique two-day exhibition brings together a remarkable group of artists and makers including twenty fine artists, two photographers, six ceramicists, four textile artists, four jewellers, two glass artists and two contemporary artisans. Discover beautifully crafted pieces, meet the makers and experience the creativity inspired by the landscapes of the Peak District.

The iconic Octagon Hall makes for a superb setting. The Grade ll listed building, nestled in 23-acres of landscaped gardens in the heart of the historic spa town of Buxton, offers a magnificent backdrop to this very special event.

Established in 1991, Peak District Artisans is an association of some of the very best professional fine artists, designer makers and contemporary artisans from across the Peak District. Members are selected for their outstanding creative works and include up and coming as well as internationally renowned artists. Many members are award winning and internationally recognised for excellence in their chosen field. The group, presided over by The Earl of Burlington are celebrating their 35th year.
