Chesterfield Coffee Co is based at the H&F furniture shop by the bus station. It used to be the Vintage Tearooms but they’ve now moved further into the town centre. The new café has had a gorgeous new makeover. It’s now gloriously light and airy with beautiful seating inside and out. In addition to the tables, lots with lovely comfy seating, there’s bar style seating at the back of the café where you can sit and watch the bowling green. All of which add up to it being one of my favourite coffee shops in Chesterfield.
I really love the new décor. The exposed brick is now off set with contemporary lighting, beautiful upholstery and there’s a chilled, laidback vibe.
Barista coffee
As the name suggests, Chesterfield Coffee Co. specialises in barista coffee. I’m a stickler for a well-made flat white and have always enjoyed the coffee I’ve had here. There’s also soft drinks and some beers and wines.
Menu at Chesterfield Coffee Co
The emphasis is very much on quality coffee but there’s a tempting cake counter and a limited menu of light bites too. On my last visit I noticed the food offering didn’t quite match their menu online. It’s basically bacon or sausage sandwiches, toasties etc. I ordered a cheese toastie which was very pleasant and served with vegetable crisps and a nice little side salad.

Garden seating
There’s lots of seats both in the sun and the shade. The garden area is a really sun trap, making this Chesterfield coffee shop a great option if you want to drink outdoors or enjoy a light bite in the town centre.
Go for:
Barista coffee and a laid back ambiance. Great garden seating.
