[AD] For some seriously stylish festive vibes, don’t miss Nordic Bar in Derby city centre this December. Part of Derby LIVE’s Festive Derby programme of live entertainment, the pop-up festive tipis are located on the Market Place, right next to the ice rink in the historic Cathedral Quarter with its quality boutique shopping and bustling nightlife.

Step in from the cold into the authentic Nordic tipi featuring a roaring fire pit, seasonal foliage, twinkling fairy lights and a sprinkle of sparkling disco balls.
Festive drinks in Derby’s Nordic Bar
Enjoy a range of festive tipples under fairy-lit canvas. The festive drinks menu includes hot chocolates with all the trimmings, seasonal cocktails and mocktails plus beers, ciders, wine and soft drinks.
Sadly, I was driving, so opted for an Instagram-able Candyfloss Snowball, a mix of Vimto and lemonade topped with candy floss and Vimto chewy bar.
I wish I’d be able to fully explore the festive cocktail menu as both The Gingerbread Mule (vodka, lime, bitters, ginger beer) and the Winter Garden (gin, caramel, apple juice) sounded right up my street – as did the boozy hot chocolates.
The Nordic Bar Co. is a collaboration between two local and award-winning small businesses, Sami Tipi and Mambo Mobile Bars, with the fabulous styling courtesy of Tara Knott. The tipis will play host to a range of live entertainment.
I absolutely loved the vibes of the Nordic Bar – such an exciting addition to the Festive Derby offering.
Don’t delay – the Nordic Bar is only open until the end of December.

This is such a fancy place; what a fab idea to have a bar set up like this—perfect for family or work gatherings! I would love to go to a place like this and try some seasonal drinks.
