Bottomless brunch in the rest of Derbyshire
South Derbyshire and surrounding area

Bottomless lunch at Ice and Slice, Swadlincote
Ice and Slice in Swadlincote runs a popular bottomless menu. We went to check it out and found the food utterly sublime and generous top ups from lovely staff. Read the full review here.

Annie Maison, Burton on Trent

Just outside Derbyshire
Gorgeous gastro pub The Star at Cotton is technically Staffordshire but is easily accessible from Ashbourne so deserves a spot here. The Star offer a popular bottomless brunch menu.
Champagne breakfasts
These options aren’t bottomless but would be a lovely treat, maybe for a slightly more refined (and less squiffy) experience.
Champagne breakfast at Morley Hayes
Champagne breakfasts are served in the beautiful Dovecote restaurant at Morley Hayes. The menu regularly changes but is always deliciously decadent. Start with toast or croissant and preserves, then there’s a breakfast starter and then a breakfast main course! Served with a glass of champagne and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and tea or coffee at the end. Booking essential.
Champagne breakfast at Horsely Lodge
Horsley Lodge golf club traditionally offers a popular champagne breakfast but is closed for refurbishment until March 2025.
Champagne breakfast at The Dragon (Willington), The Boot (Repton) and Harpur’s (Melbourne)
These three delightful gastro pubs are part of the same small, local chain. Before lockdown we stayed in one of the lovely rooms at The Dragon in Willington. There’s a lovely ambiance and all the food was delicious. More recently, we’ve had a night at The Boot in Repton and that was utterly charming.
Each venue offers a champagne breakfast. For £29.99 you can enjoy either one glass or champagne or two glasses of prosecco, or fresh fruit juice. There’s a choice of starters, e.g. pancakes, mango and passionfruit smoothie or homemade granola. And then choose either a Full English, a vegan breakfast or avocado on toast. The experience culminates in a croissant and chocolate brownie served with Chantilly cream and fresh berries. Advance booking essential.
