These options aren’t bottomless but would be a lovely treat, maybe for a slightly more refined (and less squiffy) experience.

Champagne breakfast at Morley Hayes

Champagne breakfasts are served at Morley Hayes Wednesday to Saturday. The menu regularly changes but is always deliciously decadent. Start with toast or croissant and preserves, then there’s a breakfast starter and then a breakfast main course! Champagne breakfast at The Dragon (Willington), The Boot (Repton) and Harpur’s (Melbourne)

These three delightful gastro pubs are part of the same small, local chain. Before lockdown we stayed in one of the lovely rooms at The Dragon in Willington. There’s a lovely ambiance and all the food was delicious.

Each venue offers a champagne breakfast. For £24.95 you can enjoy either one glass or champagne or two glasses of prosecco, or fresh fruit juice.
