Bottomless brunch is the new night out! Swerve the big corporate chains and support a lovely, local, independent business. Here’s the pick of the most fabulous places for bottomless brunch in Derby and Derbyshire. Enjoy! Updated February 2023.

Bottomless Sundays and champagne breakfast at Seven Restaurant & Café Bar, Pride Park, Derby

On Sundays, enjoy bottomless drinks for 90 minutes with Seven’s breakfast and lunch menus for £19.95pp (food charged separately). There’s lots of delicious choices. From a Full English or Vegetarian breakfast to smashed avocado on sourdough to American pancakes or smoothie bowls. If you don’t fancy going completely bottomless (legless?!), you can also order ‘morning tipples’ by the glass.

Alternatively, there’s a separate champagne breakfast option for £26.50pp. This includes one glass of champagne or two glasses of prosecco, your choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate; freshly baked pastries; a choice of breakfast starter (granola, pancakes or porridge) and then a choice of brunch main, for example a Full English or eggs Benedict.

Brunch & Bubbles at Binary, Mickleover

Binary Bar and Restaurant in Mickleover has just started a Brunch & Bubbles menu that runs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Select any dish and a drink for £14.95 or go bottomless for £25.95. Brunch dishes include smoked salmon and eggs, French toast and a whole host of other yummy options. Drinks choices include passion fruit bellini, elderflower mimosa, Aperol spritz or Bakewell fizz.

Feeling really fancy? There’s also a champagne breakfast option.

Bottomless brunch at Bear, Iron Gate, Derbion and Uttoxer

Bottomless brunch at Bear involves fruit juice and pastries on arrival, any item from their brunch menu and bottomless drinks for 90 minutes. Drinks options include mimosas, prosecco, beer or non-alcoholic cocktails. There are a good choice of breakfast options, including smashed avocado, various pancakes or an “angry mac” a pork patty topped with streaky bacon, fried egg, Emmental, hash brown and spicy mayo, served in a toasted brioche bun either house seasoned fries salad. I thoroughly recommend the shakshuka. Served every Sunday, 11am to 3pm. Booking advised – book online here. £30pp.

Bottomless pizza and prosecco or Poretti at The Bluebell, Kirk Langley

Just outside Derby city centre, but in the heart of the countryside is the gorgeous Bluebell country inn. For £29pp you can dine on unlimited pizza accompanied by either bottomless prosecco or premium Italian lager. Pizza options include pepperoni, Hunter’s chicken, a vegetarian option or even a sweet pizza featuring banana, caramel, whipped cream, ice cream and sprinkles! Upgrade to champagne for £49pp.

Kava Coffee

Kava Coffee in Oakwood on the outskirts of Derby offers a prosecco brunch and a champagne breakfast. The prosecco brunch is £25pp for unlimited prosecco for 2 hours. For up to three people the food is a choice of panini or sandwich from the menu served with crisps and salad. For four or more people a mezze board is served buffet style with a mixture of cheese meat and paninis. Followed by a selection of cake.

Casa Hotel, Chesterfield, S41 7JB

Running on the last Saturday of every month between 12 – 2pm, enjoy sociable sharing platters of charcuterie and tapas and 90 mins of bottomless Prosecco, San Miguel or Franklin & Sons soft drinks in the stunning setting of Barça Bar. A great excuse to get together with friends and family. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available. £35pp. Booking essential.

The White Hart Inn at Moorwood Moor near Alfreton runs a popular bottomless brunch every Saturday afternoon. For £27.50pp you can enjoy a brunch dish and unlimited cocktails or prosecco for an hour and a half. Food options include a Full English or vegan breakfast, chicken skewers or pizzas. Cocktails include bellinis, brambles and passionfruit spritzes.

The Cow at Dalbury Lees

Boutique B&B and gastro pub, The Cow at Dalbury Lees has a highly tempting bottomless brunch menu on the first Saturday of the month. Start with prosecco (or orange juice) before tucking into a pastry and fruit platter served with a fruit smoothie. There are then a choice of brunch mains including a Full English, smoked salmon and poached egg or Polish style hash brown. Vegetarian options are available on request. If you’re not completely stuffed after that there’s even a brunch dessert. Choose from cinnamon French toast or peanut butter cookie dough. All for £30pp. Booking essential. Bottomless lunch at Amalfi White in Melbourne

Chic Italian restaurant Amalfi White in the pretty South Derbyshire village of Melbourne offers a bottomless option at lunch time. For £17.95 you can enjoy endless fizz over 90 minutes whilst dining from their a la carte on certain days/times. Booking advised.

Bottomless lunch at Ice and Slice, Swadlincote

Ice and Slice in Swadlincote runs a three course bottomless lunch with 90 minutes of unlimited Frizzente prosecco, Carling lager or Lilley cider. Priced at £20pp in the week and £29.99 on Fridays and Saturdays. We went to check it out recently. The food is utterly sublime and they are very generous at topping up glasses! Annie Maison, Burton on Trent

The bottomless brunch package at Annie Maison includes 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco and two courses from their brunch menu. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are available. All for £29.95pp. There are also alternative drinks available, but these are limited to four servings. The alternatives include wine, bottled cider or spirit and mixer. There’s even brunch outfit inspiration on their blog!

Just outside Derbyshire

Gorgeous gastro pub The Star at Cotton is technically Staffordshire but is easily accessible from Ashbourne so deserves a spot here. The Star offer a bottomless brunch menu daily for £45pp. It’s one of the few places where you can do bottomless brunch every day of the week and it doesn’t require pre-booking!

There is a ‘small plates’ menu and two hours of cocktails (or prosecco). Food options include pecan and honey roast camembert, ribeye steak sandwich and crispy pork belly. Cocktails include pornstar martinis, Aperol spritz etc. See their website for full details.

Champagne breakfasts

These options aren’t bottomless but would be a lovely treat, maybe for a slightly more refined (and less squiffy) experience.

Champagne breakfast at Morley Hayes

Champagne breakfasts are served at Morley Hayes Wednesday to Saturday. The menu regularly changes but is always deliciously decadent. Start with toast or croissant and preserves, then there’s a breakfast starter and then a breakfast main course! Served with a glass of champagne and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and tea or coffee at the end. £33pp with the option to add more drinks. Booking essential.

Champagne breakfast at Horsely Lodge

The champagne breakfast at Horsley Lodge golf club includes one glass of champagne, orange juice, warm croissants and toasts and preserves. Then a choice of breakfast starter such as fresh fruit salad, granola or a smoked salmon pancake. Then a choice of breakfast mains, such as a Full English or eggs benedict with Danish pastries and tea or coffee to finish. £27.50pp. Reservation essential.

Champagne breakfast at The Dragon (Willington), The Boot (Repton) and Harpur’s (Melbourne)

These three delightful gastro pubs are part of the same small, local chain. Before lockdown we stayed in one of the lovely rooms at The Dragon in Willington. There’s a lovely ambiance and all the food was delicious.

Each venue offers a champagne breakfast. For £25.95 you can enjoy either one glass or champagne or two glasses of prosecco, or fresh fruit juice. There’s a choice of starters, e.g. pancakes, mango and passionfruit smoothie or homemade granola. And then choose either a Full English, a vegan breakfast or avocado on toast. The experience culminates in a croissant and chocolate brownie served with Chantilly cream and fresh berries. Advance booking essential.

Champagne or Prosecco Breakfast at the Monkey Lounge in Melbourne

The cute and quirky Monkey Lounge in the lovely village of Melbourne runs a four course Champagne or prosecco breakfast every Saturday afternoon. Start with a glass of fruit juice, then a choice of breakfast starters, then a breakfast main course (I’d be going for the avocado and feta on toast!) served with a glass of fizz, and then finish with pastries and tea or coffee. Priced at £22 for prosecco and £25 for champagne. Booking essential.
