Stretton Hall Farm Shop, not far from Clay Cross, is a real hidden gem. In addition to a good range of fresh farm produce, they have a banging cake counter and whip up the best coffees. There’s also some lovely seating to enjoy a coffee and cake (or sausage roll and beer).

Stretton Hall Farm Shop
Truly out in the sticks, Stretton Hall Farm Shop is located on charming Derbyshire roads. However many times I visit I always think I’m lost, and then at the last minute stumble across it!
As you’d expect, they stock all sorts of sorts of locally grown and reared fresh farm produce, and also a tempting range of gourmet, artisan treats. There’s the most amazing cake counter which is always overflowing with delectable goodies. There are hot sausage rolls and vegetarian pastries and fresh bread is delivered daily from The Loaf in Crich.

Stretton Hall Farm Shop is a great place for coffee and a walk. They also whip up a blinking good coffee and always have a range of seasonal luxury lattes and speciality hot chocolates, including pumpkin spiced lattes. You can also order a small range of alcoholic beverages, and they sell bottles of their own gin!

There’s a lovely café area to sit and enjoy your refreshments, including heated, covered outside seating.
Stretton Hall Farm Shop is a great place to visit at Christmas, and also runs the only pumpkin patch in Derbyshire that actively welcomes dogs. Read more about their pumpkin patch here.
